Poker and aggressiveness

In poker there are two types of players: passive players and aggressive players. Passive players are those who never take the initiative and just limit themselves to check and pay if they have something that seems to be a good hand. The problem with passive poker players is that, betting in that way, they’ll never catch their opponents.

When facing a passive poker player, it’s easy to put pressure on him. A player who is in a game with a passive opponent and raises bets after the flop, will probably win all the pots. This means playing poker with a passive player certainly is a great advantage.

There are also gamblers who are good in poker, make good readings, but are not good at bluffing. If a player just plays when he has a better hand than his opponents, he’s limiting his game. If he thinks the other player has two Jacks and the player’s hand is low, then he has to try to demolish his opponent’s hand by showing he has a strong hand, such as two Jacks.

It’s not a good idea to play aggressively but in a messy way. Many players play poker this way, constantly bluffing and raising bets. These poker players may be just looking for a little fun while they have money on the table and we only need a good hand to beat this kind of players.

We can also play poker aggressively betting on a few hands (tight) or on many hands (loose). Tight players are more cautious and only bet in the best hands. However, within the group of tight players, there are passive poker players and aggressive poker players. Players who play a few hands in a passive way may prevail in the levels and bet on higher bet levels (high strikes).

A tight and aggressive player is a strong player and when he plays for a pot, he goes for it. This is a good strategy in poker hands for real money. In order to bet loose in many poker hands, aggressively and with confidence, great control of the game is required, as a result of good memory and experience.

Many poker players follow the strategy of betting on many poker hands aggressively to win all the big jackpots and have a lot of poker chips to dominate their poker opponents.

Although there are many strategies we can follow in poker, the most important thing is to select the strategy, aggressive or not, that best suits our gaming style. The more we play poker, the easier we’ll discover the perfect poker strategy for us.
