At the moment about 20 players have classified to take part of the main event of the Philippines’ National Hold’em Poker Championship, that will take place on 8th and 9th of April at the Airport Casino, in Parañaque.
Philippines’ National Hold’em Poker Championship consists of a series of non-gambling competitions, where only hold’em poker type is played.
Besides the 1 million Philippine pesos (almost 15.700 euros), the winner will take home the “Champion’s Bracelet” and the title of the First Philippines Hold’em Poker Champion, according to Tempo newspaper, from Philippines.
Rey Gamboa, Director of the Tournament’s Organizing Committee, assured that becoming the first Philippine poker champion is a dream that many people share in Philippines. “Although I know prizes are very important in this Tournament, I think that what is most interesting here is the possibility of winning the first Championship’s bracelet and making history”, he added.
